Hello and welcome back everyone. So happy to see you all again!
I love to dress in beautiful dresses, skirts and blouses. So in today’s post I will be talking about the way I dress and why I dress this way.
Keep reading and maybe you will be inspired to dress up more often.
My style in the past.
In my teens I didn’t really have a style, I inherited and was gifted most of my clothes. I always tried to put together outfits that looked nice, but alas, not always so with a good outcome.
I moved out at 16. And started to buy my own clothes I was really drawn to a more rock/Gothic style.
While I was in this phase of my style I loathed dresses and skirts. It was all jeans and shirts and tops all the way. The only time I would put on a dress was at Christmas.
When I came in my mid twenties my style started to change from rock/Gothic tops and shirts to cute ones.
I still only wore jeans.
My style now.
Now I dress in dresses almost everyday. Of course I use gym-clothes when I am at the gym or outside taking a walk. I also wear jeans when I want to be extra casual. And at times I switch from dresses to skirts and blouses.
Now during summer I have switched between summer-dresses and shorts and blouses.
I have three categories for my dresses:
1. Everyday dresses; these dresses are simple with either a little bit of a twist to make them interesting. I can style them with pins or belts if I want to.
2. Summer dresses; these dresses are summerthemed. Some are basics short-sleeves and some are with flowers printed on.
3. Holiday dresses; these are the ones that I use at special occasions such as wedding, Christmas, birthdays ect. These are the ones that are a step above everyday dresses.

Why I dress this way
I dress this way because it elevates me, it gives my confidence extra boosts.
I feel more like my future self when I dress in dresses instead of jeans and sweaters. Of course I do have days when I use jeans and blouse. When I do, I do it on purpose and not because it’s what everyone else is wearing them.
Also, my “only” challenge when I get dressed is “which dress do I want to wear today”. I have 1 piece of clothes to decide on, not two-three (don’t counting underwear in this).
The more I dress up the more I show up for myself. The more I show up for myself the more I show up for my family.
I have a more positive attitude when I dress nicely. which again makes me see things in a more positive and solution type of way.
This was it for today.
Let me know if this was interesting and if you want to learn more.
Love
Emilie Cathrin
