As I am starting to write this weeks post I am sitting on a bench on the pier watching the sea while sun warms my body and the wind blows in my hair. The only noise is the waves hitting the pier and the occasional car in the distant. My view is the sea, moutains, forests, our city center with it’s walking street and some houses.

Childhood
I remember that I always loved to be outside in nature in my childhood and during my teen years. I was never a big fan of going camping with tents and sleeping outside (not really a fan of it now either). I was fortunate enough to partly grow up at a farm with the sea only 100meters away from the house and only a few vacation houses nearby. That resulted in nature being the primary noise around that place. I used to go down to the sea and walk amongst the stones near the waterline just letting my mind wander.
I also loved going for a walk on hikingtrails that was easy to walk, not to long and you could go with friends and talk while walking.
From the day I moved out
I moved out when I was 16years old and moved in a tiny apartment with my best friend to go to school in a bigger city. That was a one year of turbulens and a abusive relationship with my ex, so much of that year is completely forgotten. What I do remember is us going down to the pier often, no matter the weather. I remember one time we went down there, it was during winter, it was freezing cold, the wind was so strong that it almost took both of us and we were wearing pyjamapants, thin sweathers and a jacket. We were crazy at the time!
After the first time I moved out I have never had the sea that close to my home since. But I am fortunate enough to have easy access to the sea, it’s only a 20min drive from my home. And back home there is woods, mountains and th river is just a few minutes when you walk.
My dream for the future
As you can probably tell by reading this post is that I find the quiet of mother nature peaceful and calming. I really thrive when I am near nature. And as older I get the more I crave it.
So my dream for the future is to own a vacation home near the sea with few neighbors and a road that is seldome traffic on. I always thought I wanted a cabin high up in the mountains near a lake, which is amazing in itself and very calming to me. But during a drive I head I realized that was not what I deep down wanted. I want a vacation house near the sea with a beautiful view and a lawn that I can grow flowers in.
